Code of Conduct

Member Code of Conduct

Mission:  The Hills and Districts Chamber of Commerce Inc. exists to support its members to achieve profitable and sustainable businesses and effective not-for-profit organisations.

As a Member of The Hills and Districts Chamber of Commerce Inc. (HDCC), I/we recognise that membership is a privilege and that a membership brings with it the responsibility to assure that all members understand and commit to the following code of conduct.

The code of conduct shall, without limitation, require members and all participants of Chamber-sponsored programs to:

  1. Understand, support and promote the Vision and Mission of the HDCC and cooperate with fellow members in the application of this Code of Conduct.
  2. Abide by the HDCC Constitution and Guidelines for any applicable programs of the Chamber. They serve as the governing documents for all programs.
  3. Observe the highest standards of ethics in rendering services and/or offering products for sale, based on the members’ own knowledge and expertise.
  4. Conduct business and professional activities in a reputable manner to reflect honorably upon the business community and fellow Chamber members.
  5. Respect the reputation, profile and status of the HDCC, and represent the Chamber accordingly.
  6. Whenever reasonably possible, participate in the functions and activities of the Chamber, and promote the enhancement of business growth within the Hills and Districts area.
  7. Refrain from publicly disparaging the business practices of fellow members and refrain from condoning or engaging in misrepresentation or unethical practices.
  8. Refrain from engaging in any practices prohibited by law or seeking unfair advantage over fellow members and conform to all laws established by Municipal, State and Federal governments for the control of said business, where applicable.
  9. Present a true presentation in all advertising. Goods and services shall be advertised in accordance with all Municipal, State and Federal legislation.
  10. Respect the roles of the Chamber Executive, Committee Members and volunteers.

I/we also understand that the failure to adhere to the professional and personal obligations of the HDCC, as outlined above, and defined in the Chamber Constitution, can result in the termination of my/our membership.

How to Join

We deliberately keep our membership fees low, to enable even the smallest start-up business the opportunity to participate.

Annual Membership fees: 

Sole Trader:   $65 - entitles 1 person as voting member

Business:   $95  - Organisations with 2 - 25 people - entitles 2 people as voting members

Corporate:  $250 - Organisations with 26 + people - entitles 2 people as voting members


Membership year: 1 May 2018 to 30 April 2019

We take registrations from the 1st of January.  By joining early new members can gain up to 16 months membership for the price of 12.  To register click here

  •     direct deposit (remember to include your business name as reference)
  •     cheque made out to the Hills & Districts Chamber of Commerce
