Caughley & Co is a dynamic commercial construction company based in Brisbane.

Managing Director Michael Caughley has been connected to the industry for over 22 years. Michael’s industry depth and knowledge has been formed from his varied experience with some of Australia’s largest construction companies. Michael has worked at every level in construction - from site-based roles to management positions, successfully completing both large and small projects.

Michael’s most recent experience as Director of ICM Construction saw the business turnover increase from $1 million to $45 million in only 6 years. His projects included private and government arenas in hotels, sporting and other clubs, factories and schools. This included refurbishments and new builds. It was here that Michael honed his unique skillset and experiences and lay the foundations for Caughley & Co’s success.   “I want to be across every project and foster solid relationships by being hands on in the delivery of Caughley & Co’s projects”.

He has experience in a variety of delivery methods including, cost plus, construction management gross maximum price (GMP), fixed price and design and construct.

Michael’s ability to identify potential issues through investigating the site, diving deep into drawings, listening intently to clients and the design team (being inclusive), drives efficient and effective design. This leads to a cost effective and successful project delivery.

Michael has a passion for delivering hospitality projects, “I love delivering projects that I know are going to be thoroughly enjoyed, spaces that will work, be successful and make people smile”. Having won multiple awards in this space is testament to the drive to deliver quality projects, on time and on budget.

A comprehensive database of the best subcontractors throughout Queensland is the result of Michael’s work over the last six years across the greater Brisbane and regional areas. Wherever possible he is adamant in matching the best local tradespeople and suppliers to his projects.
