Innovate Moreton Bay

Innovate Moreton Bay is a program with a tailored approach to connect local efforts, harnessing existing strengths and building regional capability within the Innovation Ecosystem. Innovate Moreton Bay is focused on positioning the region as the location choice for entrepreneurs, innovators, exporters and investors.

Backed by Advance Queensland’s Advancing Regional Innovation Program (ARIP), the intention is to build networks of innovative communities across the state that reflect the diversity of the Innovation Ecosystem that draws people together while boosting grassroot activities to support local economies to create jobs for regional Queenslanders and aims to turn regions into hubs for innovation and enterprise.

This will be achieved by:

• Providing regional leadership - building the regional brand and greater Innovation ecosystem to become nationally recognised as a location of choice for investors, innovators, and entrepreneurs.
• Building on the regional capacity and capability by creating opportunities that provide support to the region's founders and entrepreneurs.
• Increasing communication and connectivity to foster a sustainable culture that offers collaborative opportunities with regional, national and international linkages.
• Increasing youth engagement via tailored programs and mentorship
• Supporting new and existing innovation while building on the success of the annual Moreton Bay Region Business Excellence & Innovation Awards.
• Delivering a leading series of business events and workshops, with Moreton Bay Region Industry & Tourism (MBRIT).

Monthly Social Catchup

Innovate Moreton Bay hosts a monthly Social Catchup @ North Lakes Sports Club on the third Wednesday of each month form 3pm-5pm. (Please note the monthly social catchups are held viz Zoom while COVID-19 restrictions are in place). Please contact Steve Butler to learn how to join these meetings.
