Stationery Aid

We support our most disadvantaged school students with education resources in the form of yearly booklist and stationery packs to start the school year.

We do this by collecting, sorting and renewing used and unused excess school stationery to the highest possible standard with our team of volunteers.

Alison Schutt

Alison is the proud co-founder of Stationery Aid and the organisation’s purpose aligns with her values and ethics.

Respect and responsibility for biodiversity and our planet; compassion, empathy, and equality for all people regardless of their background.

Alison has a deep love for nature with a background in applied science and furniture design which has led to careers in environmental health and sustainable design.

Her expertise in the field of environmental health spans across environmental toxicology, environmental hazards, waste management, water and wastewater, pollution science, education for sustainability, communicable disease, infection control, food safety and disaster response.

She has been a director of her sustainable design studio Haasch Pty Ltd for 20 years and has also worked for local government in NSW and currently works for the Queensland government practicing environmental health.

She was a judge at the UNSW student sustainable design competition in early 2000s,  a committee member for the Society of Responsible Design in early 2000s in Sydney before relocating to Brisbane.

She has been involved with ABC radio Newcastle for a plastic bag reduction initiative and has been an arts and crafts program volunteer mentor and supporter for the people at the Endeavour Foundation’s Rosedale House Lifestyle and Learning Centre, Coopers Plains for the last 10 years. 

Haasch Pty Ltd is also a corporate supporter of Rainforest Rescue and National Breast Cancer Foundation. 

Alison has an in-depth understanding of factors in our everyday environment that may have an impact on human health and the environment we live in.

She loves helping people and planet, spending time with her family and is a keen hiker, basketballer, native gardener and wildlife warrior.
