This Expo is called “The 2023 Twilight Years Expo” with the theme being “As the sun goes down the fun begins”.
Our emphasis will be on enhancing life and living in the Twilight Years.
A Seniors’ Expo with a difference all about life and living in the retirement years.
We have linked a wide range of community organisations with the retired population in order that they get the very best out of their time.
The event encompasses Volunteering, which the country could not exist without, whilst still creating a sense of purpose through giving.
Following is a partial list of Exhibitors:
Unlike other similar events, there will be no Funeral Directors willing to assist seniors and their pets to exit life in style. No Care Homes promoting a palliative exit to life nor advice on dementia or other issues associated with ageing.
Expressions of interest have come from classic motorcycle and car clubs, craft , art and gardening groups.
Interest has also come from Community Groups seeking volunteers e.g. Picabeen Community Centre, Brisbane Greeters and Meals on Wheels.
We have also reached out to commercial interests within our community, recognising the importance of Seniors in our community’s economy, in particular the 9 to 5 Monday to Friday economy.
All of the above works on the wellbeing of minds and emotions but then there is the body wellbeing, which is so important.
This is where we see a relationship between PCYC and Seniors very important.
