The Hills Festival Committee (Donna, Frances, Max and Vanessa) has been busily working behind the scenes to plan a Chamber event as part of the Hills Festival Program in May this year. After consultation with Chamber members it was decided to host a men’s mental health event open to Chamber members and the local community.

We are excited to announce that the event is called “Mental Grease and Oil Change: Conversations with Men 4 Men” and we have locked in a panel of three awesome speakers. Australian cricketer Usman Kawaja, will join the founder of social enterprise Blokepedia, Josh Quarmby, and RUOK? Community Ambassador and Field Officer for Mates in Construction, Justin Geange.

Our Emcee, Nine News Queensland Sports Reporter, Michael Atkinson, will facilitate a discussion with the panel on maintaining positive mental health and related topics.

All proceeds from the event will go to charity RUOK? who do amazing work on suicide prevention. Our speakers have kindly donated their time to support RUOK?

This is going to be a not-to-be missed event!

The event is aimed at men but women are also welcome to attend.

Stay tuned for further updates.
