The 2019-20 Chamber Executive had their annual Face to Face meeting at the boardroom of the Arana Leagues Club last week. The purpose of this meeting was twofold – an opportunity for the executive to meet and welcome our new members; and also to plan for the upcoming year ensuring all opportunities were discussed in full and that everyone was given the opportunity to add to the discussion.

The Chamber is fortunate that we have so many people, both on the Executive and those who take on the responsibility of being a Committee member and a Chairperson of a Committee.  Without these individuals and the great work they undertake we would not be able to carry out the varied work we undertake in the community or be held in such well regard throughout the community generally. Evidence of this regard is the number of new members who take up membership.

The Executive discussed the idea that perhaps the Big Breakfast has grown too BIG and that we should consider limiting tickets to say 180 – “first in best dressed”. As well as only having a few sponsors involved. In this way the commitment from volunteers does not overrun their time and energy. Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
