Nominations open for the 2019 Moreton Bay Region Business Excellence & Innovation Awards

31 July 2019

There is just one month left to nominate for the 2019 Moreton Bay Region Business Excellence & Innovation Awards (MBEIA). The awards offer businesses, community groups and employees a platform to shine a spotlight on achievements from the past 12 months, and the chance to share in $30,000 in  cash prizes.

Why should you enter the 2019 business awards?

Businesses can nominate for 12 categories. Entry is absolutely free and you can enter as many categories as you like. This year the organisers have endeavoured to make the submission process as easy and transparent as possible – with just six questions to answer and only one of the categories requiring an interview and/or site visit.

The MBEIA is a fantastic promotional tool. Nominees, finalists and winners alike can leverage the awards to gain valuable brand awareness and set themselves apart from their competitors. The submission process can also be used as an insightful tool to define where your business or organisation currently is, and where you intend to be in the short and long term future.

About the Awards

Finalists will head to the MBEIA Gala Awards Event on Friday 29 November where all winners for the 2019 event will be announced.

MBRIT CEO Shane Newcombe encourages businesses large and small, not-for-profits, startups and even students to enter a submission into this year’s awards.

“The Moreton Bay Business Awards are the pinnacle of celebrating your businesses achievements. Businesses from previous years, whether nominees, finalists or winners, have all grown in statue from entering the business awards.”

“There are categories for community engagement, employees, startups, innovation, environment and sustainability, marketing initiatives and more. Don’t be left wondering “what if”. Get your submission in today and you could soon be adding the term ‘award-winning’ to your business description.”

Moreton Bay Region Mayor Allan Sutherland said he hoped to see a record number of local businesses, entrepreneurs and organisations nominating.

“It is free to nominate and you can enter as many categories as you like,” he said.

“These awards go from strength-to-strength every year and reflect the ever-deepening pool of talent that Moreton Bay Region boasts.

“I’m proud to support these awards as a way to celebrate the accomplishments of our local business heroes, they are the backbone of our region’s economy and the strong growth we are enjoying.

“Moreton Bay Region is firmly on the radar of investors with USC’s Petrie campus opening next year and the Redcliffe Peninsula Railway Line now operational, and canny local businesses are already identifying and grabbing the opportunities this will bring.

“We are now on the map as a go-to business destination in southeast Queensland, which is why we’re seeing investment like the new $74 million office and commercial precinct at Strathpine which will be home to Super Retail Group’s headquarters.”
