The Productivity Commission, in 2020, estimated that poor mental health, in the form of lost productivity, absence and presenteeism, costs Australian workplaces $17B pa. Other impacts on the  workplace include conflict, turnover, errors, potential workplace injury or aggravation, consumption of excessive leader time, poor morale and damage.

A Mental Health First Aid course equips you to identify the signs that someone is struggling and provides you with the competence, confidence and courage to have a wellbeing conversation with them.

Mental illness is treatable yet 50% of people with a common mental illness don’t access help. They are more likely to do so when someone they know suggests it. This is where you can make a difference. Help from you, or another workplace Mental Health First Aider, can expedite people getting the help they need and returning to full health and performance.
